These terms are subject to change.

1. Confidentiality

1.1 Client confidentiality is paramount to Help on Tap. Client information will never be disclosed unless required to do so by law.

1.2 All reasonable precautions will be taken to ensure that all client information obtained, held or transmitted by Help on Tap will remain securely confidential.

2. Consultation

2.1 Initial consultation with a new client is free. For each new project a free 30 minute consultation will be provided.

3. Projects

3.1 Help on Tap can accept work via telephone, email, CD or the postal service. All work will be returned by the stated preferred method.

3.2 Before commencement of a project a quote will be provided. This must be accepted before commencement of the project.

3.3 It is the responsibility of the client to perform the final proofreading and checking of all work supplied by Help on Tap.

If Help on Tap has made any errors the client must notify us within 5 days of receipt of completed work and it will be corrected free of charge.

Any alterations requested by the client will be charged at the appropriate rate.

3.4 All projects will be kept for 6 months after which the project will be deleted from the PC and any backup device.

For a small cost the project can be copied onto a CD for the client.

Help on Tap will not be held responsible for any losses or damages of documents or CDs that are sent through the postal service.

4. Charging

4.1 The minimum charge is one hour. Thereafter, a client will only be billed for the actual time worked on the project. If we have not worked with a client before full payment is required before commencement of the project.

4.2 The hourly rate does not include expenses such as stationery, postage, telephone and CDs. These will be itemised separately on estimates and invoices.

4.3 If it is necessary for a Virtual Assistant to visit a client’s premises, then Help on Tap will charge for the travel time to and from the client’s premises, in addition to the hours worked.

5. Deposits

5.1 A 50% deposit is required prior to the commencement of a one off project that is not subject to payment upfront. The balance is payable upon completion.

6. Invoices

6.1 An invoice will be sent upon completion of a project. This must be paid within 14 days of the date on the invoice.

6.2 Payments can be made by cheque or bank transfer.

7. Business Hours

7.1 Help on Tap’s business hours are Monday – Friday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm.

7.2 Any work required outside of the above business hours may be subject to a surcharge.
